Our Commitment

VGC Arena is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone, and applying the relevant accessibility standards to guarantee that our platform remains usable and inclusive.

Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are actively working to address these remaining issues.

Accessibility Features

• Keyboard Navigation: Core user flows, including tournament registration and dashboard management, are navigable using a keyboard. Visible focus rings are implemented to assist keyboard-only users.
• Color Contrast: Text and interactive elements have been audited to meet or exceed the 4.5:1 contrast ratio against their backgrounds.
• Semantic HTML & ARIA: We use semantic HTML5 elements and ARIA labels on icon-only interactive elements to ensure compatibility with assistive technologies like screen readers.

Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of VGC Arena, there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations. Please contact us if you observe an issue not listed below:

• Third-party content: Some external links or embedded content (such as Pokemon Showdown replays) may not fully adhere to our accessibility standards, as they are outside of our control.
• Legacy Tournaments (V1): Certain older tournament pages may have legacy UI components that lack full ARIA support or optimal color contrast.
